John knows the courses, hotels and all the good restaurants. He will take you door to door where ever you go so you don’t have to worry about anything but having a great time. John and Anne have become good friends as a result of my three trips and I am starting to think about the next trip in 2014. I highly recommend Celtic Golf Tours to anyone looking for a great experience. Jim Nylen Reply Paul Wood says: March 25, 2013 at 6:11 pm I have been on 4 trips to Ireland and Scotland with John. He has provided outstanding service and trips that provide memories that last for a lifetime every time I go. One trip was 4 golfers with our wives and the others were 8 golfers. John took care of our wives while we brutalized some beautiful golf courses and he quickly won them over. John and Anne have become wonderful friends. We are already planning our next trip with them in 2014 back to Scotland. Reply Paul Wood says: March 25, 2013 at 6:17 pm I forgot to say that I made a hole in one on #16 at Old Head. The highlight of my golfing career. Thanks John for helping to make that happen. Reply Ben Butcher says: March 25, 2013 at 7:01 pm Eight if us have been to both Ireland and Scotland for week plus with John. With Anne ably pulling strings in the background, the trips have been near flawless in both planning and execution. – just the right amount of fixed and flexible schedule to make sure that everyone remains happy throughout the trip. John’s very evident golf skill (and his patience with those less skilled) is a welcome bonus. We will be returning to Ireland next year with Celtic Golf and I know I look forward to another memory building experience. I heartily recommend Celtic Golf to any and all considering a golf trip to Scotland or Ireland. Reply John Merritt says: March 25, 2013 at 7:54 pm I have taken 4 trips with John. We travelled with John twice as 4 couples with wives who did not golf, and twice as 8 golfers. John was very attentive to the needs of our wives while we played golf. He took them sightseeing and touring and they seemed to have as much fun with John as we did golfing. We have travelled with John to Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland. John provides the type of customer service that is extremely special. No detail is ignored and no request goes unnoticed. But the most special part of our trips has been the friendships we have developed through the years. We have truly enjoyed meeting John and Anne and treasure their friendship and the wonderful memories they helped us to create. I can honestly say that you will have no regret using John to plan your next golf outing. We are in the process now of planning our next tour to take place in 2014! Reply Matt Moran says: March 25, 2013 at 8:06 pm John and Anne run an outstanding Holiday operation no matter what your budget! I have been using Celtic Golf tours since its inception and cannot recommend them highly enough. Next year will be my sixth trip with John and Anne and I would not use anyone else. From pre-holiday planning and golf course selection to airport pick-up, restaurant recommendations, site-seeing and all the time when you are not playing golf, they are constantly looking out for your every need. Short a Caddie, John is on the bag, Guests back goes out, John is on the tee!! Need a present for a teen-age daughter – Anne is at your service!! Not only are they great at what they do but they are great people and I am proud to call them my friends. Reply Bud Lyons says: March 25, 2013 at 8:54 pm John and Ann are true professionals that run an oustanding business with great emphasis on customer service. I have been to Ireland, Scotland and the UK with John. Each trip was fantastic. John’s knowledge of the local courses and familiarity with the local managers makes for a very efficient and enjoyable experience. I am very much looking forward to my next visit this May to Ireland. I too, like many of John and Anne’s clients am proud to call them friends. For anyone contemplating a golf excursion I can’t imagine a better experience than the one that Celtic Golf Tours provides. Reply Mike Smith says: March 26, 2013 at 4:57 pm I toured Northern Ireland with John on a guys golf trip and was very impressed with his services. Every venue was terrific, every planned detail well thought out. It was a lifetime of memories over the course of eight days. John’s golfing tips were as spot-on as any advice I’ve had from paid professionals. I heartily endorse Celtic Golf Tours and look forward to future trips with John. Reply George Eckard says: April 3, 2013 at 12:39 am Like all of the testimonials, I agree that John and Anne Finnigan run a first class operation which is like having a golf outing with one of your best friends. I’ve been all over Scotland, England and Ireland with John and can honestly say that not one single day brought disappointment. In fact, every day brought a memory. John seems to know every inch of every course and where the good pubs, restaurants and sites to see are. I was fortunate to play the New Course on a day when John walked with us and he decided to carry my bag. That day, I shot four strokes better than the best score of my life and felt like the priest in Caddie Shack when I holed out on 18! But without the lightning! I can honestly say that his advice played a huge role in the best day of golf in my life. Cheers to John and Anne Finnigan! I’ll never play golf in the UK without them! Reply Paul Hibbitts says: April 18, 2013 at 2:11 pm I have been on two trips to Ireland with Celtic Tours. I am also looking forward to a trip to Scotland in 2014. John and Anne provide more than great tour opportunities they are true friends and provide experiences of a lifetime from outstanding accomodations to golf tips and also historic information that adds extra spice to the trip. Due to a medical emergency I had a brief stay in the hospital and being away from home and seperated from my friends you can imagine my stress but John made sure I was taken care of and saw that I rejoined the group ASAP which I know was added stress but you would never had known it from John. If you are looking for a trip that you will never forget and add some lasting memories use John and Ann at Celtic Tours they are the best. Reply Chuck Rutan says: May 2, 2013 at 6:33 pm My wife and I along with two other couples used John, Anne and Celtic Golf Tours in the summer of 2011. They were recommended by a Scottish friend but none of us had ever met them before. Two years later, we are still talking about the best golf vacation we’ve ever had. John and Anne are a great team with Anne making the arrangements and handling the details while John executes the plan. We played six courses in five days with five of the courses ranking among the top thirty in the world. John seemed to know everybody in Scotland as he was friends with people at every venue we visited. But more importantly his knowledge of the courses and restaurants helped assure that your every need was met. And the personal service you receive is as good as you can find in any five-star hotel. No request seemed too great as John arranged a last minute tour of the Glenmorangie Distillery and an unscheduled stop in Turnberry that included a round on the Ailsa Course for those willing to play a second eighteen that day. My wife and I live in a subdivision named “Turnberry” so the detour to that venue was extra special to us. I could go on and on about the things Anne and John do to make the trip something you will remember forever. But suffice it to say that you will find no better people to help you arrange your trip and once you have used them, you too will be singing their praises. I recommend them to anyone planning a golf trip to the Kingdom. John is a man of many talents. On a few of the trips I’ve made we have been short a golfer to complete a 2nd foursome and John has filled in. When he tells you he is a pretty good 12 handicapper, it is true and you probably want him on your team. He also has a fine singing voice. If you are going to the Kingdom for golf, have Anne and John plan your trip and take care of all the details. They are just the best at what they do. Reply Paul Wood says: July 9, 2014 at 5:27 pm I just completed my 5th trip to Scotland and Ireland with Celtic Golf. Anne and John do an incredible job. We (8 of us) played 11 courses in 10 days. They had everything arranged to perfection. Anne was in charge of the weather and it only rained on us for about 45 minutes during the entire trip. She probably can’t arrange that for every trip!!! John works harder than anyone I know to make sure everything is just right and that you enjoy your trip to the fullest. He knows everyone at every place you go including the right places to dine. He cheerfully responds to your every request. Thank you Anne and John for providing some of the most memorable experiences in my life. Cheers! Reply Paul Hibbitts says: July 13, 2014 at 12:15 pm Just completed our Scotland tour with John and I honestly did not think that my trips to Ireland could be matched but this trip goes to the top of the list. Once again Anne and John have outdone themselves. Our accomodations, the courses we played and the recommended places to dine were all outstanding. John as usual looked after me and made sure that my visit was memorable and trust me it was. Being with John is like being with family and I am looking forward to more visits with him and Anne. Thanks again for a wonderful and memorable time.
